 Cushion Heart Project

  • November 16th in the San Carlos Room at the Downtown ASU Student Center.  

  • Two sessions

    • Maroon Group will be working from 12 PM to 1 PM 

    • Gold Group will be working from 2 PM to  3 PM 

  • Volunteers will be tasked to make fleece heart cushions for those coping with breast cancer treatment.

  • The shape of these heart cushions relieve pain from the surgical incision, protect against accidental bumps, and are great in the car to avoid contact with your seat belt.

  • These pillows are given to patients after surgery to aid in their recuperation

Beautification Project

  • On November 17th students will do a campus wide beautification project that spans around the ASU Downtown Campus and surrounding Phoenix attractions.

  • Will be broken up into two shifts. 

    • Gold Group from 12 PM  to 1:15 PM

    • Maroon Group from 1:45 PM to 3:00 PM.

  • Each group has a different area of campus to cover, as will be shown on a map. 

  • Students will be provided with trash bags, gloves, extra water, and trash grabbers.

  • The Letters Against Isolation project will be on November 17th and will serve as an alternative service project for those who choose not to/can not participate in the city clean up project.

  • This project is going to be broken up into two shifts.

    • Maroon Group from 12 PM to 1 PM

    • Gold Group from 2 PM to 3 PM.

  • This event will be held in the Fusion Flex Space where we will have a wide variety of crafting materials and prompts for students to write letters with.
